University Academic Regulations: Art. 14 Joint Teacher-Student Committees
  1. The joint teacher-student committee is a body established in each Department or in each Coordinating Structure, where present. The teachers who are part of it must be appointed from among the teaching staff affiliated with the Department where the committee is established.
  2. The joint committee is composed of the Presidents of the Teaching Committees of the activated Study Programmes, or their delegates, and an equal number of representatives of students enrolled in the same Study Programmes, designated by the Student Council. The committee also includes a representative of the Directors of the Specialization Schools affiliated with the Department or their delegate, and a representative of the students enrolled in the same Schools, as well as a representative of the Coordinators of the Doctoral Programmes affiliated with the Department or their delegate, and a representative of the students enrolled in the same Doctoral Programmes. Department regulations may supplement its composition and may also provide for the establishment of a joint committee for the Specialization Schools. Where deemed necessary, the committee may organize its work separately in relation to the various levels of education.
  3. The committee is responsible for: a) monitoring the educational offer, the quality of teaching, also using the results of the evaluation of teaching by students, and the service activities for students by professors and researchers; b) monitoring the indicators relating to the activities referred to in letter a); c) proposing to the Evaluation Unit autonomous indicators, appropriately harmonized with ANVUR indicators, aimed at measuring the degree of achievement of objectives in teaching; d) the annual preparation of a report to the Evaluation Unit and the University Quality Assurance Body, referred to in Article 29, containing proposals aimed at improving the quality and effectiveness of the Study Programmes of the relevant teaching structures, also in relation to the learning outcomes achieved; e) the formulation of opinions on the establishment, activation, modification, deactivation, and suppression of Study Programmes.

Reports and Complaints

The Joint Teacher-Student Committee, to facilitate the resolution of critical issues and a productive dialogue between the administration and the student community, has prepared this reporting form.

Every student can send a report or a complaint, remembering that these can also be forwarded to their representatives.

PROCEDURE:

  • Submission of the communication
  • Receipt of the communication and evaluation of its content
  • Assessment of the validity of the communication and forwarding of the communication to the competent subjects and/or bodies
  • Response to the sender – (if the email address was provided)
  • Handling of the case (adoption of specific improvement actions)

Notes on the procedure:

  • The time for handling the case, compatible with staff resources and other organizational constraints, will depend on the urgency of the communication and the competent bodies involved.
  • Responses will be sent by email to the students' institutional addresses, when available.
  • All cases will be periodically placed on the agenda of the CPDS (Joint Teacher-Student Committee) meetings.
