Seminars “OSCE Laboratory”

Understanding the OSCE – “OSCE Laboratory”

The Master’s Degree program LM-52 participates in the seminar series “OSCE Laboratory - The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) as a model for multilateral regional diplomacy” promoted by the Permanent Mission of Italy to the OSCE.
This initiative aims to bring students and young scholars closer to the reality of the OSCE, promoting its understanding as a key actor in multilateral diplomacy and strengthening the dialogue between the Italian academic world and diplomatic activities.
The educational program, consisting of 20 hours in English, combines theoretical lessons on the functioning of the Organization with interactive sessions focused on case studies and specific issues related to its operations.
The seminars were led by diplomats from the Permanent Mission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Italian officials serving at the OSCE, as well as university professors and subject matter experts.

Dissemination Activities

Some of the students actively contributed to the dissemination phase by drafting a Discussion Report.
This activity represented an opportunity to further explore some of the topics discussed during the seminars and to highlight the analytical and critical thinking skills of the students involved. The reports reflect the interest and maturity with which the students engaged with the dynamics of multilateral diplomacy and the challenges faced by the OSCE in the current international context.
