WHY STUDY POLITICAL SCIENCE IN TODAY'S WORLD? Here are at least five reasons to enroll in DISPI!
-
Because you are interested in global society and how it works. If you are constantly fascinated by the world around you and would like to better understand how it functions, political and international sciences can offer you the right tools to do so.
-
Because it allows you to have a multidisciplinary approach to contemporary issues. Choosing DISPI means studying political-international disciplines in their legal, historical, economic, and sociological aspects. Equally important attention will be paid to the teaching of languages, now indispensable for entering any professional and competitive field.
-
Because it increases your chances of entering public and private companies with national, European, and international reach. If you dream of a professional future in public administration, private companies, as well as supranational, non-governmental, and Third Sector organizations, then this is the right career path for you!
-
Because you want to be a protagonist of change. If you believe that your aspirations are to generate a more just, supportive, and inclusive society, then our courses are definitely for you! They will allow you to explore different disciplinary fields, always stimulating the critical thinking of each student.
-
Because you are looking for a profession that keeps up with the times. Graduates in political and international sciences are constantly seeking knowledge. You will have the opportunity to explore different countries, to work in a dynamic context, with people from all over the world. No day will be the same as the last.

Within the framework of the Department's orientation activities, and with the aim of creating an increasingly active collaboration with schools to facilitate the school-to-university transition, DISPI is continuing and implementing its program of meetings in and with upper secondary schools.
These meetings can take the form of pure orientation activities (illustration of the educational offer and services, guided tours of the Department's facilities, etc.) or thematic seminars that allow students to experience the topics and methodologies of the teaching provided by the Department.

In our Department, we offer schools a variety of educational opportunities, including practical workshops, school-work alternation programs (PCTO), and in-depth lessons on specific topics. We are currently carrying out several projects to enrich students' experience:
-
PoEmS - Promoting Emotional Intelligence at School The PoEmS project aims to promote the development of emotional intelligence within the student body and faculty to improve school inclusion, supporting teachers in creating a favorable educational environment and enhancing students' personal and interpersonal skills.
-
PRECIOUS - Promoting pluralistic education in European universities to combat invisible discrimination related to LGBTQ+ The PrEcIOUS project aims to foster an inclusive and aware academic community, combating prejudices such as homophobia and transphobia through a systemic cultural change involving the entire student and university community, moving beyond the concept of "their inclusion" and replacing it with that of "plurality."
-
ATTUNE - Activate the University for Climate Change The ATTUNE project aims to address climate change on university campuses through an innovative learning program involving the entire university community, promoting actions and initiatives aimed at making universities more sustainable and reducing their environmental impact in two phases.
