Linguistic Area

The Department of Political and International Sciences is experiencing new developments with the recent addition of a tenure-track researcher in English Language, Linguistics, and Translation (ANGL-01/C). This marks a significant step in strengthening the presence of language studies within the department, whose academic offerings also include courses in French, German, and Spanish Language and Translation. It reflects the department's commitment to a multilingual and multidisciplinary approach to research.

Research areas in linguistics include storytelling in political discourse and communication in intercultural contexts, the study of specialized language with a focus on text accessibility and scientific dissemination. Another growing area of investigation is innovative language teaching in the field of political science, with the aim of developing effective, interdisciplinary models that embrace cultural, ability-related, and gender diversity.

Soon, the language area will be enhanced by the creation of an Intercultural Room, a dedicated space designed to make linguistic research and interaction more dynamic, visible, and accessible. It will provide students and staff with a collaborative environment for exchange and active engagement. This initiative aims to strengthen the strategic role of languages and international communication within the department’s academic mission, promoting both inclusion and excellence in research and teaching.
