The Erasmus+ STEP - Striving Towards Equal Participation project unfolds within a very clear context: "All individuals have the right to active, free and meaningful participation in development and to a fair distribution of the benefits resulting therefrom" (Declaration on the Right to Development, 1986, Preamble). Unfortunately, today and everywhere, people continue to be excluded or marginalised, due to inequalities that limit or hinder the enjoyment of the right to social participation. The STEP partnership aims to change all this also and above all thanks to the shared knowledge and the exchange of good practices between all 5 organisations from 4 different countries: Learning Designers (Spain), Omilos UNESCO Neon Thessalonikis (Greece), POSCOHR - Portuguese Speaking Countries Observatory on Human Rights (Portugal), Associazione RE.DU - Rete Educare ai Diritti Umani and University of Siena (Italy).
These are the objectives of the project and its beneficiaries: 1) To provide educational tools to social workers, educators and professionals working with adults to promote active citizenship, social rights and social inclusion; 2) To support adults to engage as active citizens in their local communities; 3) To improve the activities of partners in the areas where adults live in conditions of exclusion.
HERE you can see all the video-pills with Italian subtitles created specifically within the project for greater knowledge and dissemination with respect to Social Rights and Participation: the topics covered are social rights, active citizenship, digital literacy, the right to work and the right to education.
